Columbia Learning Centre, our parent company, was first established in 1996. Our first centre is located at Choa Chu Kang Central. We provide student care services to the residents there. In 1997, we established another centre in Jurong East to provide daily playgroup classes. In 1998, with the increase in student enrolment for preschoolers, we started our search for a larger premise which will enable us to provide a full-fledged preschool programme which promises to be more comprehensive and all-rounded. This programme encompasses academics, general knowledge, character and esteem building, moral education, discipline and independence for our students. Most importantly, we strive to develop a 'confident and thinking child'. Consequently, we started our newest school, Columbia Academy at 10 Toh Guan Road in 1999.

Columbia Academy provides full day Cerebrum Enhancement Programme.

In November 2010, we opened our newest centre at Havelock Road, next to the Ministry of Manpower. It provides infant care and child care services for residents and people working downtown. The environment of our newest centre has many in the field of child care stating that it is one of the best they have seen. In 2012, we relocated one street away to 11 Keng Cheow Street .

Columbia Academy was acquired in full by SDM limited in June 2018. They took over full management of the centre in December 2019 and discontinued the use of the Columbia Programme in May 2019.

In June 2020, Columbia Academy was appointed as the management consultant for the Toh Guan Road centre. The centre started utilising the new and improved Cerebrum Enhancement Programme on 2nd June 2020.
